PRAIRIELAND UNITED WAY TO KICK OFF 2015 CAMPAIGN

 

“LIVE UNITED – Building Stronger Communities” – Theme for 2015 United Way Campaign

 

JACKSONVILLE, ILLINOIS…Prairieland United Way will kick off the 2015 campaign with a Corporate Kickoff Breakfast at 7:30 am on September 3 at Nichol’s Park Pavilion.

 

The 2015 United Way Campaign Theme is “LIVE UNITED –Building Stronger Communities” and the fundraising goal is $530,000. Prairieland United Way helps local people by raising and distributing funds for health, education and employment-related service programs in Morgan, Scott, Cass and northern Greene counties. All company leaders and campaign chairpersons are encouraged to attend the kick-off breakfast.

 

Serving as President of the United Way Board of Directors this year is Laurie Peak. Ms. Peak retired from Nestle Inc in 2013 and has served on the United Way board since 2012.

 

The 2015 Campaign Co-Chairs are CD and Kristen Davidsmeyer. Christopher “C.D.” Davidsmeyer was born and raised in Jacksonville, Illinois. He is employed as Vice President of Operations at Illinois Road Contractors and serves as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives. Kristen works as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Memorial Medical Center.

 

C.D. is a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association.  He has served on the boards of the Jacksonville Library and the Governor Duncan Mansion.  He was a Jacksonville Alderman before becoming a State Rep. and served as the chair of the Young Professional Network and the government division at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. 

Kristen is on the board at the Strawn Art Gallery and both are life members.

 

C.D., Kristen, and their 2 sons reside in Jacksonville.

 

Prairieland United Way helps more than 35,000 people annually by funding 42 programs.
