OUR IMPACT

Prairieland United Way is a 90-plus year-old organization of community-minded people all working toward the common good. Funding is raised annually to support 34 human service programs in Morgan, Scott, Cass and northern Greene counties.
Funding decisions are made by community panels of concerned people who care about the well-being of others.

Many of the agencies that receive United Way funding are small, single-program agencies. The United Way staff provides support on administrative and program issues. Through the United Way office, agencies cooperatively develop programming in an effort to eliminate duplicative community efforts.

The coronavirus continues to impact our community. Our hearts are with those who have lost their jobs or seen a reduction in hours due to COVID-19.The State of Illinois and our local County municipalities are responding to the economic hardships related to COVID-19 closures. We anticipate a federal announcement of relief as well. The situation is constantly evolving, and new resources are being announced daily.

Now more than ever, it's important to reach out. We may be socially distant, but that does not mean isolated! Here are 7 ways to help others during the crisis: 1. Donate Blood, 2. Check on neighbors and older adults, 3. Connect with local organizations, 4. Reach out to your friends, 5. Organize look & see scavenger hunts in your neighborhood, 6.
